A NOBCChE student chapter resides at one or more colleges or universities, and involves students and faculty members from different departments. The purpose of a chapter is to generate interest in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and allied STEM fields by providing students opportunities to:
Through NOBCChE chapters, students build the leadership skills required to run a chapter of a non-profit organization, with the support of NOBCChE staff and resources. The activities of student chapters can include lunch discussions about career opportunities in STEM, lectures given by guest speakers, team projects such as undergraduate competitions, social functions, and field trips to industrial laboratories or NOBCChE regional and national meetings. Allow 2 months before expecting a board response on the final decision. If additional information is needed, The regional chair will notify the point of contact during the 2 month review process. For example, if you submitted on Friday May 28, you can expect a final decision from the board by Friday, July 30. If you have not heard by that time, please contact us at [email protected]. Note: The process can be delayed if you do not respond promptly to inquiries from the Regional Chair or committee. |
