NOBCChE Student Chapters

A NOBCChE student chapter resides at one or more colleges or universities, and involves students and faculty members from different departments. The purpose of a chapter is to generate interest in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and allied STEM fields by providing students opportunities to:

  • Share ideas and enthusiasm with fellow students and faculty
  • Influence the community
  • Explore career opportunities
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Leverage access to a vast network of professionals

Through NOBCChE chapters, students build the leadership skills required to run a chapter of a non-profit organization, with the support of NOBCChE staff and resources. The activities of student chapters can include lunch discussions about career opportunities in STEM, lectures given by guest speakers, team projects such as undergraduate competitions, social functions, and field trips to industrial laboratories or NOBCChE regional and national meetings.
